Yes, form and style make the camera look good but it is the features that determine the best digital cameras in terms of versatility, uses, and output. A camera which has many modes for different sceneries is better than those with less. For instance, some cameras contain modes for taking pictures with the subject against the light – this is a good choice especially for traveling or vacationing as one could take pictures from any background which could not be moved (a waterfalls, for instance). A camera with higher light sensitivity – as in ISO – is better than those with none.

Memory is, of course, essential in a camera; thus, it is best to buy a camera with large built-in memory and is capable of memory expansion through a card slot.

You don’t have to buy a brand new camera. In fact, you could find a good deal out of a used digital camera – as long as its features fall within your needs and it has not been badly used. It is important to check its condition before paying for it.

It is good to remember that the best digital cameras depend on the user – form, function, features, pixels, anything could be the requirement but the overall quality of the camera and the pictures it produces are always important to check.
