Securing Your Home With Cameras

Securing your home and office with security cameras is a good investment decision. An increasing number of parents are installing cameras at home to keep a vigil at their kids' nannies. This is not really related to home security per say. But nonetheless, there is an increasing trend in parents to install the camera to keep a watch over their kids. It keeps you informed about your child. You know that he is taken proper care of. With double income parents, who find it difficult to stay at home all the time, nanny cams are a hit. You may trust them but it is good to feel 100% secure. So it is better to keep an eye. These cameras are small and can usually be hidden. You can place them behind stuffed toys or boxes. This way, the nanny will not be aware of the camera. You might also want to tell her upfront so that she is on her toes and does not try to do anything funny. There are cameras that transmit images to your PC or mobile. This way you can watch the images in real time.  These cameras also come with a home alarm system. They are installed in a way that potential burglars can see them. They might back out for the fear of getting captured.

Security cameras usually fall into 2 categories - indoor and outdoor. Cameras built for indoors are simpler than their outdoor versions. Outdoor cameras need safety from the outside surroundings. They also have to deal with poor lighting conditions. Cameras are further categorised into PTZ, fixed, PTZ dome and fixed dome. Fixed system security cameras are called so because they have a permanent area of view because of their escalating position. Fixed dome are almost the same as the fixed ones. The only addition is that they come in pre-installed small dome housings.

The PTZ or PTZ dome cameras can zoom inward and outward and tilt. The continuous pan system can tilt the camera 180 degrees or 360 degrees. Most of these cameras come with an automatic flip option. This ensures continuous stream whenever any person walks directly underneath the camera. Instead of looking at the person upside down from the back, it will actually flip the image. The mechanical PTZ cameras move physically. The non-mechanical versions use a wide-angle lens in order to capture a wide field of vision at a high resolution. But these cameras are also extremely useful.
